PRESS RELEASE - 10th August 2002 ce

For immediate release:

It has been the pleasure of the Prime Minister of Parliament today (10th of August 2002) to name the new national park created earlier by warrant of this office.

The two small dependences of Redéke Island, Niweilk Island and T'krepomi are to be formed, in perpetuity into national parks, to be governed by the provincial executive of Redéke Island and Dependences. These islands shall remain not be built upon and reserved as a natural habitat for the local wildlife that resides therein.

Sir David also wishes to thank the Office of the Environment at the Ministry of the Interior for making such a project possible and for enabling this government to preserve and assist local heritage and wildlife.
