The National Archives Act An Official Act of the Government of the Great Commonwealth of the Ibrosian Democracy æcté d’wesetilk d’ŷe grande wealth d’commune dek Lk’esoeseak-Iboroseỗ The Twenty Second day of December, Twenty-Hundred and Two
AN ACT to create an archive of all historically and legally important Ibrosian documents
Should it be enacted by the will of the majority of the people of the Great Commonwealth of the Ibrosian Democracy, this Bill shall be passed into law with the particulars stated herein:-
Section One – General Provisions
Article I
There shall be a National Archive of the Ibrosian Democracy situated in Commonwealth House, Nova Britannia
Article II
The National Archive of the Ibrosian Democracy shall hold an up-to-date hardcopy of all Acts of Parliament of the Great Commonwealth; Statutory Instruments; Provincial legislation; Constitutional legislation and Writs of the Judiciary.
Article III There shall be a cultural subsection of the National Archive of the Ibrosian Democracy which shall house all historically and culturally important documents and items, as decided by the Great Commonwealth Minister of the Interior.
Article IV
All documents and items held by the National Archive of the Ibrosian Democracy shall be available to be viewed by the general public and other Ibrosian citizens.
Article V
Where practicable, all items held by the National Archive of the Ibrosian Democracy shall be available on the Internet via on of the Great Commonwealth’s official websites.
Section Two – The Office of National Records, Stationery and Hansard
Article I
There shall be an Office of National Records, Stationery and Hansard (‘the Office’) to oversee the actions of the National Archives of the Ibrosian Democracy. The Office shall be a subdivision of the Ministry of the Interior.
Article II
The present Prime Minister of the Great Commonwealth of the Ibrosian Democracy shall be considered the permanent patron of the National Archives of the Ibrosian Democracy and shall have the powers of Supreme Archivist of the Court. Upon the Prime Minister’s death, the patronage of the Archives shall be decided by a board of Archivists.
Section Three – Short Title, Commencement and Extent of this Act
- (1) This Act may be cited as the National Archives Act 2002. (2) This act shall come into effect upon the passing by the éhoi and authorisation by the Returning Officer. (3) This Act extends to: (a) The Great Commonwealth |
