The Naming of the Second Isle Act

An Official Act of the Provincial Assembly of Redéke Island and Dependences

AN ACT to grant approved names to the remaining Isles within the province and to urge the Great Commonwealth Government to adopt the use of these provincially approved names.

 

Whereas there are two islands within the area of the Knapps Loch claimed by the Great Commonwealth of the Ibrosian Democracy and,

 

Whereas the first island has been named Redéke Island, the name recognised by the Great Commonwealth Government and this Provincial Administration and,

 

Whereas the second isle remains unnamed,

 

Therefore, it is the will of this Assembly, with powers granted via the Ibrosian Constitution to enact the following into provincial law:

 

Section One – Short Title

 

This Act may be cited as the Naming of the Second Isle (Redéke Island and Dependences) Act 2002.

 

Section Two – General Provisions

 

I.               The second largest island contained within the Province of Redéke Island and Dependences shall be officially known by this provincial administration as ỹ’Ísle n’Iweilk (the Nameless Isle) or Niweilk Island in English.

 

II.             The small rock off of the coast of Redéke Island shall be officially known by this provincial administration as T'krepomi (tree rock) in both England and Iboroseỗean.

 

Section Three – Sense of the Assembly

 

It is hereby requested that the Great Commonwealth federal administration mirror these provincially approved names.

 


Section Four – Commencement and Extent of this Act

 

I.               This Act shall come into effect upon due passage by the Governor-Lieutenant and public announcement of the aforementioned status.

 

II.             This Act applies to the Great Commonwealth Province of Redéke Island and Dependencies only.
