The Recognition of Founders Decree

An Official Decree of the Provincial Assembly of Redéke Island and Dependences

A DECREE to recognise the founders of this province by instatement of noble rank.

 

Whereas powers of granting honours and titles of nobility are reserved with provincial legislatures under the Great Commonwealth Constitution Act 2001 and,

 

Whereas there are two persons whose tireless efforts enabled the creation and freedom of this province and,

 

Therefore, it is the will of this Assembly, with powers granted via the Ibrosian Constitution to enact the following into provincial law:

 

Section One – Short Title

 

This Act may be cited as the Recognition of Founders (Redéke Island and Dependences) Decree 2002.

 

Section Two – Ennoblement of one David J. Gardiner

 

(1) – David J. Gardiner, citizen number GC01/9901 shall henceforth be addressed within this province as ‘Lord Gardiner, Count of Niweilk’.

(2) – Lord Gardiner, Count of Niweilk shall have considered powers as feudal lord of Niweilk Island within this province.

 

Section Three – Ennoblement of one Greig M. Russell

 

(1) –Greig M. Russell, citizen number GC03/0102 shall henceforth be addressed within this province as ‘Lord Russell, Marquis of Redéke Island’.

(2) – Lord Russell, Marquis of Redéke Island shall have considered powers as feudal lord of Redéke Island within this province.

 

 


Section Four – Commencement and Extent of this Act

 

I.               This Decree shall come into effect upon due passage by the Governor-Lieutenant and public announcement of the aforementioned status.

 

II.             This Decree applies to the Great Commonwealth Province of Redéke Island and Dependencies only.
