The First Constitutional (Minorities Protection) Amendment

AN
AMENDMENT to
embody in the Petition of the Constitution laws to assure that minorities do
not suffer under the majority in control of criminal law.
Should
it be enacted by the will of at least two thirds of the people of the Great Commonwealth
of the Ibrosian Democracy, this Amendment shall be passed into constitutional
law with the particulars stated herein:
By the powers granted to this grande éhoi under Part eight, Article II of the Petition of the Constitution (ratified as the Constitution Act 2001), Part Nine, Amendment I shall be created to read thus:
“
(1) In order to protect minorities from the wrath of the people, no laws shall
be made prohibiting the rights of any particular social group, or creating
anomalies with their treatment. It shall be discouraged to label or name any
particular social group within legislature produced by the Great Commonwealth
of the Ibrosian Democracy under the powers granted within this Constitution.
(2)
All persons are equal under the law. It shall be unlawful for the state to
differentiate between races, genders or religions where voting and civil rights
are concerned”
This amendment shall be legally binding on all State authority and bound by Part three, Article I of the Petition of the Constitution.
It shall be unlawful for this state to discriminate against minorities, on grounds of gender, race, sexuality or physical ability.
Article IV
Violation of this Act and the Constitutional order contain therein shall be considered a tort by the Great Commonwealth Government against the violated individual or organisation, for which they shall have rights to seek due compensation in the Supreme Court of the Judiciary.
V. Short Title,
Commencement and Extent of this Amendment
(1) This Amendment may be cited as the First Constitutional (Minorities Protection) Amendment
(2) This amendment shall come into effect upon the passing by the éhoi and authorisation by the Returning Officer.
(3) This amendment extends to
